Whilst an Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) identified through a management survey may have attracted a high material score, this outcome doesn't necessarily indicate that prompt remedial action is warranted. This is determined from a supplementary priority assessment, quantifying the likelihood of the material being disturbed and therefore exposing someone to hazardous risk. The Configure Priority form focuses on the recording of four key aspects of priority scoring: Occupant Activity, Disturbance, Human Exposure and Maintenance Activity. Each factor defined within these headings is ascribed a weighted score, ranging between 0 and 3 (low to high risk), which will feed into an overall priority assessment calculation. The number of factors relevant to a local setting will naturally vary, and therefore the assigned score for each contributing element will be averaged out at category level, with these values then being added together to deliver the final outcome.
