To create a new disturbance level prioritisation factor

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to create a new disturbance level prioritisation factor is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Asbestos > Configuration > Configure Priority. The Configure Priority window is displayed.
  2. Click on New Extent / Amount of Disturbance. The Add Extent / Amount of Disturbance window is displayed.
  3. Enter a Description for the new disturbance level prioritisation factor into the field provided e.g. Small Amounts or Items, Less than 10 metres squared, etc. 1.
  4. Use the Score field to assign a risk assessment weighting to the disturbance level prioritisation factor. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  5. Use the Code field to abbreviate the disturbance level prioritisation factor, as a prerequisite for customised reporting layouts.
  6. Using the Companies drop-down field, multi-select all companies relevant to the operating boundaries of this disturbance level prioritisation factor, or choose the All option, as required 1.
  7. Choose an Effective from date for this disturbance level prioritisation factor i.e. the date on which it came into effect 2.
  8. Choose an Effective to date if the parameter is to be time bound; a blank field means the disturbance level prioritisation factor will be continually valid.
  9. Click on Save. The new parameter entry appears in the Extent / Amount of Disturbance grid 3.

Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then deselect individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is deselected.

Note

1 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each disturbance level prioritisation factor is unique for the selected company within the effective period.

2 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

3 The list position of the parameter is governed by the incrementally assigned Value.
