To create a new human exposure prioritisation factor

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to create a new human exposure prioritisation factor is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Asbestos > Configuration > Configure Priority. The Configure Priority window is displayed.
  2. Click on New Human Exposure - Number of Occupants. The Add Human Exposure - Number of Occupants window is displayed.
  3. Enter a Description for the new human exposure prioritisation factor into the field provided e.g. 1 to 3, 4 to 10, Greater than 10, etc. 1.
  4. Use the Score field to assign a risk assessment weighting to the human exposure prioritisation factor. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  5. Use the Code field to abbreviate the human exposure prioritisation factor, as a prerequisite for customised reporting layouts.
  6. Using the Companies drop-down field, multi-select all companies relevant to the operating boundaries of this human exposure prioritisation factor, or choose the All option, as required 1.
  7. Choose an Effective from date for this human exposure prioritisation factor i.e. the date on which it came into effect 2.
  8. Choose an Effective to date if the parameter is to be time bound; a blank field means the human exposure prioritisation factor will be continually valid.
  9. Click on Save. The new parameter entry appears in the Human Exposure - Number of Occupants grid 3.

Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then deselect individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is deselected.

Note

1 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each human exposure prioritisation factor is unique for the selected company within the effective period.

2 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

3 The list position of the parameter is governed by the incrementally assigned Value.
