The procedure to create a new average exposure time prioritisation factor is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Asbestos > Configuration > Configure Priority. The Configure Priority window is displayed.
- Click on New Human Exposure - Average Time Area In Use. The Add Human Exposure - Average Time Area In Use window is displayed.
- Enter a Description for the new average exposure time prioritisation factor into the field provided e.g. Up to 1 hour, Between 1 and 3 hours, etc.

- Use the Score field to assign a risk assessment weighting to the average exposure time prioritisation factor. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Use the Code field to abbreviate the average exposure time prioritisation factor, as a prerequisite for customised reporting layouts.
- Using the Companies drop-down field, multi-select all companies relevant to the operating boundaries of this average exposure time prioritisation factor, or choose the All option, as required

- Choose an Effective from date for this average exposure time prioritisation factor i.e. the date on which it came into effect

- Choose an Effective to date if the parameter is to operate over a set period; a blank field means the average exposure time prioritisation factor will be continually valid.
- Click on Save. The new parameter entry appears in the Human Exposure - Average Time Area In Use grid

Tip
1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then deselect individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is deselected.
Note
1 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each average exposure time prioritisation factor is unique for the selected company within the effective period.
2 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
3 The list position of the parameter is governed by the incrementally assigned Value.
