To complete a category within an ASB case

The procedure to complete a category within an ASB case is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select ASB Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case Reference as the search criteria 1.
  2. With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The ASB Case Details window is displayed.
  3. Click on Details. The Details tab is activated, with all category and type classification pairings for the ASB case captured in the Categories summary table.
  4. Highlight the row matching the category to be completed.
  5. Click on Category Actions. The ASB Category Actions window is displayed.
  6. Using the Select action drop-down field, select the option Complete Category.
  7. Click on Next. The Complete ASB Category window is displayed.
  8. Using the Completion reason drop-down field, select a parameter value to qualify the circumstances surrounding the completion of the ASB category e.g. Unsubstantiated Incident 2.
  9. Use the Notes field to add contextual data in support of the ASB category being completed.
  10. Click on Save 3. The status of the ASB category is set to Complete 4.


Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start date range, category, company, status) to ensure that the correct ASB case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.

2 These custom values can be populated by the end user via the general lookup parameter entitled ASB Category Completion Reasons.

3 System validation rules ensure that only categories with no outstanding mandatory tasks can be completed.

4 All outstanding non-mandatory tasks linked to the ASB category are automatically marked as complete.
