To amend the band rank date for an application

The procedure to amend the band rank date for an application is as follows:

1. Using the global search facility, type in the first few characters of the application contact 1.
2. Double-click on the row containing the exact record match. Where the expected record is not listed, a more advanced search can be conducted using the spy-glass icon ().
3. Click on Contact Details. The Contact Details window is displayed for the current contact.
4. Click on Application. The Application tab is activated, revealing a list of all enquiries and applications associated with the contact in the Application summary table.
5. Double-click on the row containing the specific application included on one or more allocation lists. The Application Reference window is displayed.
6. Click on Lists. The Lists tab is activated, revealing a summary table containing all allocation lists associated with the application.
7. Highlight the row containing the specific list membership against which the band rank date will be revised.
8. Click on Change Rank Date 2. The Change Rank Date window is displayed.
9. Choose a Manual rank date using the calendar icon (), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY) i.e. the date used to prioritise the application within the allocation list.
10. Alternatively, de-activate the Manual Input tick box provided and using the New Rank Date drop-down field, select the appropriate date identifier to automatically determine the rank date i.e. Application Date, Application Live Date 3.
11. Choose an Effective from date for this change of rank date i.e. the date on which it came into effect 4.
12. Choose an Effective to date if the application's rank date is to be reviewed at a future point in time or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the newly-assigned rank date will be continually valid.
13. Click on Confirm. The change of band rank date is reflected in the List Membership summary table.
14. Click on Save 5.

Note

1 The search facility will automatically return all possible matches for a contact's first name and last name once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached.

2 This option is only available in the instance where the selected allocations list is configured with the Allow Rank Date Override attribute.

3 A predefined rank date can only be selected once the Manual Input tick box has been de-activated.

4 The Effective From date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

5 A revised rank date is commonly applied in conjunction with a change of band in order to ensure that applicants who have been in the band for the longest period of time are processed first.
