To override a repair cost linked to a service charge cost centre

The procedure to override a repair cost linked to a service charge cost centre is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Service Charges > Management > Repairs Costs. The Service Charge Repairs Costs window is displayed.
  2. Using the Service charge calendar and Service charge calendar period drop-down fields, select the desired financial period to filter the repair costs breakdown. A list of all matching service charge repair costs is displayed in the Service Charge Repairs Costs summary table 1.
  3. Double-click on the row matching the repair cost to be amended. The Update Service Charge Repairs Cost window is displayed.
  4. Amend the Service charge value using the field provided, to reflect the actual service charge component of the repair cost to be apportioned to the relevant assets. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  5. Using the Cost element drop-down field, ensure that the elemental component is still valid for this repair cost and apply any required change.
  6. Using the Override reason drop-down field, select a parameter value to qualify the circumstances surrounding the override actions.
  7. Click on Save. The applied changes are reflected against the repair entry in the Service Charge Repairs Costs summary table.


Tip

1 By default, all repair costs are displayed chronologically, by invoice date (most recent at the top); to aid in identification and analysis, rows can be reordered by clicking on any of the available headings.
