The procedure to add a repair cost to a service charge cost centre is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Service Charges > Management > Repairs Costs. The Service Charge Repairs Costs window is displayed.
- Click on New Repair Cost. The New Service Charge Repair Cost window is displayed.
- Enter a Description for the new service charge repair cost into the field provided.
- Enter the Date invoiced value for the repair cost using the calendar icon (
), or type in the value directly

- Enter a Cost centre description into the dynamic search field provided 2. All possible matches are returned in the Cost Centre Search Results summary table.
- Double-click on the row matching the cost centre to which the repair cost is linked. The selected record appears in the Cost centre field.
- Using the Cost element drop-down field, select from the filtered list the elemental component to which the repair cost relates 3.
- Enter the service charge component of the repair cost into the Service charge value field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Click on Save. The new repair cost is displayed in the Service Charge Repairs Costs summary table, once the relevant Service charge calendar and Service charge calendar period have been selected from the corresponding drop-down fields 4.
Note
1 The permitted date entry format is DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY.
2 The field will operate as a dynamic search function and match against any component of the cost centre description based on the successive characters entered.
3 Only cost elements linked to the chosen cost centre will be available for selection.
4 The Date invoiced value entered for the service charge repair cost determines the cost centre calendar period into which it is posted.
