To create a new stock condition entry for an asset

The procedure to create a new stock condition entry for an asset is as follows:

  1. Using the global search facility, type in the first few characters of the asset address 1.
  2. Double-click on the row containing the exact record match. Where the expected record is not listed, a more advanced search can be conducted using the spy-glass icon ().
  3. Click on Asset Details. The Asset Details window is displayed for the current asset.
  4. Click on Stock Condition 1. The Stock Condition tab is activated.
  5. Click on New Repair. The New Repair window is displayed.
  6. Using the Component drop-down field, select a parameter value to capture the stock condition focus area e.g. Roof Structure, External Wall Covering, etc.
  7. Using the Repair drop-down field, select a parameter value to define the type of repair relevant to the selected component.
  8. Enter the Quantity value appropriate to the future repair work to be undertaken; the Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required 2. The Total cost figure is automatically calculated to take account of the recorded unit cost multiplier.
  9. Ensure that the proposed Year due value is valid for the selected asset and apply any required change 3. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  10. Using the Surveyor drop-down field, select the professional consultant who examined the stock condition component.
  11. Enter the Survey date using the calendar icon () or type in the value directly i.e. the date on which the stock condition survey was conducted, covering the selected component 4.
  12. Click on Save. The new repair component entry, including the overarching element, is displayed in the Stock Condition summary table.


Tip

1 Use the Left () and Right () scrolling arrows to reveal additional tabs that might be hidden from view.

Note

1 The search facility will return all possible matches for any corresponding address field once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached.

2 As an aide memoir to the end user, the permitted threshold quantity values appropriate to the repair (maximum and minimum) are displayed adjacent to the entry field.

3 The default value for the selected component is set within the underlying asset management configuration database.

4 The permitted date entry format is DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY.
