To apply the campaign segmentation rules

The procedure to apply the campaign segmentation rules is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Campaigns > Configuration > Segment Configuration. The Segment window is displayed.
  2. Select a campaign segment from the alphabetical list or type its name into the Search Contact Segments field. By default the list is filtered to show Current campaign segments. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All 1.
  3. Click on Apply Now. The end user is asked to affirm the action and the contact or contact group selection rules specified in the segment criteria or linked stored procedure are evaluated for validity before being applied to the database records, and the final cohort identified 2.
  4. Click on Close.


Note

1 The Search Contact Segments field will match against any element of the description.

2 Where criteria rules have been employed, the contact or contact group focus will be governed by the segment type in operation.
