To add a verification item to an application

Typically, all elements of an applicant's submission for housing that underpin their eligibility for inclusion on a specific allocations list need to be corroborated. Applications are therefore subject to a standard verification framework that will confirm the current housing situation of the main and joint applicants, as well as their dependants and other household members, verifying their current address, personal identification and family connections. In addition, supporting information such as evidence of financial circumstances and employment, court papers, copies of repeat prescriptions, proof of pregnancy, etc. will also be required.


The procedure to add a verification item to an application is as follows:

  1. Using the global search facility, type in the first few characters of the application contact 1.
  2. Double-click on the row containing the exact record match. Where the expected record is not listed, a more advanced search can be conducted using the spy-glass icon ().
  3. Click on Contact Details. The Contact Details window is displayed for the current contact.
  4. Click on Application. The Application tab is activated, revealing a list of all enquiries and applications associated with the contact in the Application summary table.
  5. Double-click on the row containing the specific application on which verifications have been raised. The Application Reference window is displayed.
  6. Click on Verification. The Verification tab is activated.
  7. Click on New Verification Item. The New Verification Item window is displayed.
  8. Using the Item drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value for the verification i.e. a short description of the verification required for the application form.
  9. Using the Relates to drop-down field, select the contact included on the application to whom the verification relates 2.
  10. Where corroboration of the verification item is considered Mandatory within the overall application workflow, activate the corresponding tick box provided.
  11. Click on Save. The new item is displayed in the Application Verification summary table and the application status is updated to Awaiting Verification.


Note

1 The search facility will automatically return all possible matches for a contact's first name and last name once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached.

2 Only those contacts linked to the application form are available for selection.
