The procedure to add a rate element to a PSL account is as follows:
- Using the global search facility, type in the first few characters of either the responsible contact for the PSL agreement or the privately owned asset address

- Double-click on the row containing the exact record match. Where the expected record is not listed, a more advanced search can be conducted using the spy-glass icon (
).
- Click on Agreements (contact summary 360 view) or History (for an asset)
2. The Agreements tile (or History tab) is activated, revealing a list of all agreements associated with the contact (or asset) in the Agreements (or Rent) summary table.
- Double-click on the specific PSL agreement onto which the rate element will be added. The Agreement Details window is displayed.
- Click on Rates. The Rates tab is activated.
- Click on New Rate. The New Rate - Select Account window is displayed, revealing a list of all accounts linked to the PSL agreement in the summary table.
- Highlight the individual account onto which a rate element will be added.
- Click on Next. The New Rate - New Rates window is displayed.
- Using the Individual / Group drop-down field, select the rate type to be levied i.e. an Individual rate (a discrete fee) or Group rate (a consolidated fee comprising multiple elemental components). Where a Group rate is selected, enter the name under which the elemental fees will be combined into the Rate group field provided.
- Enter the Start date for the account rate element using the calendar icon (
), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY) i.e. the date on which the element fee is effective.
- Enter the End date for the account rate element using the calendar icon (
), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY) i.e. the date on which the element fee will be discontinued, as required.
- Using the Calendar drop-down field, select the calendar appropriate to the element charging frequency.
- Click on New Element. The New Rate - New Rate Elements window is displayed.
- Using the Element drop-down field, select the elemental component to be levied e.g. Basic Lease Fee, Parking Space, Services, etc.
- Enter the amount to be incurred for the element into the Value field provided, exclusive of VAT

- Using the VAT drop-down field, select the appropriate VAT code for the rate element e.g. Standard Rate Recoverable, Standard Rate Non Recoverable, Zero Rated, etc.
- Click on Add. The new elemental component appears in the Rate Elements summary table

- Where a Group rate type has been selected, repeat steps 14 through 17 to add further rate elements to the group.
- Click on Finish. The individual or combined group element fee appears in the Rates summary table

- Click on Save
6. The new fee is displayed in the Agreement Rates summary table.
- Click on Save.
Note
1 The search facility will automatically return all possible matches for a contact's first name and last name once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached.; it will likewise return all possible matches for any corresponding address field.
2 The availability and customisation of all Contact Summary 360 View tiles is controlled separately for each end user via their unique system profile.
3 Where the selected element has a Fixed Charge attribute, the rate value will be pre-populated with the specified amount.
4 To remove a rate element, highlight the matching row in the Rate Elements summary table and click on Remove.
5 To remove an individual or combined group rate, highlight the matching row in the Rates summary table and click on Remove.
6 Further fees can be added onto the account by clicking on New Rate i.e. without closing the wizard and starting the procedure from scratch; all relevant fields are cleared ready for data entry.
