Location mapping templates overview

The construction layout of properties within the housing stock will be broadly consistent across similar localities, or where the assets exhibit matching characteristics. Rather than creating from scratch the location mapping structure for each separate asbestos register, this information can be copied from a centralised template store, choosing the framework that most closely aligns to the asset in current focus. Defined through the Template Configuration form, an Asset Type or Characteristic Value can be ascribed to an individual template, before capturing the inter-connected Level, Room and Location elements that will be used to specify the precise areas in which Asbestos Containing Materials could potentially reside. Where a template is subsequently used as the building block for an asbestos register, only those definitions matching the Asset Type or Characteristic Value of the property will be available for selection.
