To remove assets from a planned works programme

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to remove assets from a planned works programme is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Planned & Servicing Lite > Management > Planned Program Management. The Planned Program Management window is displayed.
  2. Expand a status heading and select an associated planned works programme from the alphabetical list, or type its name into the Search Programs field. By default the list is filtered to show All planned programmes. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Authorised, Awaiting Authorisation, Cancelled, Complete, Entered, On Hold, Work In Progress, etc. 1.
  3. Click on Assets. The Assets tab is activated, revealing all asset records linked to the planned works programme in the Assets summary table.
  4. Activate the Select tick box against each asset record to be removed from the planned works programme 2.
  5. Click on Remove Assets 3. The Remove Assets window is displayed.
  6. Using the Removal reason drop-down field, select a parameter value to qualify the circumstances surrounding the removal of the selected assets from the planned works programme.
  7. Use the Comment field to add contextual information in support of the asset records being removed from the planned works programme.
  8. Enter the Date removed using the calendar icon () or type in the value directly i.e. the date on which the assets will be removed from the planned works programme; a time may also be specified using the clock icon () 4.
  9. Click on Save. The end user is asked to affirm the operation and the status of each selected record is automatically set to Cancelled once the specified removal date is reached.
  10. Repeat steps 4 through 9 to remove further assets from the planned works programme, specifically where an alternative timeline and contextual background is applicable.

Note

1 The Search Programs field will match against any element of the planned works programme name.

2 It is important to only group together assets for exclusion from the planned works programme where the removal date, reason and contextual information are identical.

3 This option is active only once one or more asset records have been selected for removal, and where each assigned progression status is not already set to Cancelled.

4 The permitted date entry format is DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY; the permitted time entry format is HH:MM.
