To manually generate the PIMSS4Communities data extract

The procedure to manually generate the PIMSS4Communities data extract is as follows:

1. Navigate to Quick Menu > System > Configuration > PIMSS Export Configuration. The PIMSS Export Management window is displayed.
2. Expand the PIMSS Export heading and linked export type before selecting an associated data extract definition from the alphabetical list, or type its name into the Search Exports field. By default the list is filtered to show Current exports. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
3. Click on Export. The export file is generated in XML format, using the name and location specified in the PIMMS4Communities data extract definition 2. The records contained therein can now be imported separately into PIMSS4Communities 3.

Note

1 The Search Exports field will match against any element of the data extract definition name.

2 There is no limit to the number of times that a PIMSS4Communities data extract can be generated.

3 The process by which exported data (Assets or Works Orders) is imported into the PIMSS4Communities product is outside the scope of this topic.
