To define a custom information management consent outcome

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to define a custom information management consent outcome is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Information Management > Configuration > Information Management Configuration. The Information Management Configuration window is displayed.
  2. Click on Consent Outcomes. The Consent Outcomes tab is activated.
  3. Click on New Consent Outcome. The Consent Outcome window is displayed.
  4. Enter a Description for the new information management consent outcome into the field provided 1.
  5. Using the Companies drop-down field, multi-select all companies for which this information management consent outcome is relevant, or choose the All option, as required 1.
  6. Using the Master consent outcome drop-down field, select an appropriate parameter value to reflect the overarching master classification of the custom value i.e. Granted, Refused or Other.
  7. Where the new custom information management consent outcome is the default response for the overarching master classification, activate the Default for master tick box provided 2.
  8. Choose an Effective from date for this custom information management consent outcome i.e. the date on which it came into effect 3.
  9. Choose an Effective to date if the consent outcome is to be reassessed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the parameter will be continually valid.
  10. Click on Confirm. The new information management parameter is displayed in the Consent Outcome Mapping summary table.
  11. Repeat steps 3 through 10 to add further consent outcome mappings within the information management framework.
  12. Click on Save.

Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then deselect individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is deselected.

Note

1 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each new custom consent outcome is unique for the effective period.

2 Only one custom consent outcome can be assigned as the default for a specific master classification within a single company; where an existing parameter value already has this setting the end user will need to reaffirm one or the other.

3 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
