The procedure to create a new resourcing skills definition is as follows:

) - The Functional unit select window is displayed, revealing a filtered list of functional units linked to the selected companies
2; (b) Activate the tick box against one or more functional units to be included within the resourcing skills definition - click on the expansion level pointer icon (
) to reveal functional unit group membership records; (c) Click on Add to transfer the chosen subset to the right ('required') pane, or Add All to transfer all displayed records, irrespective of tick box status
3; (d) Click on Select - The chosen functional unit subset is summarised in the corresponding field.
4. Alternatively, to select a subset of matching SORs: (a) Click on the adjacent spy-glass icon (
) - The SOR Select window is displayed, revealing all SOR section trades within the selected table
5; (b) Activate the tick box against one or more SOR section trades to be included within the resourcing skills definition - click on the nested expansion level pointer icons (
) to reveal the associated trades and concatenated SOR codes + descriptions; (c) Click on Add to transfer the chosen subset to the right ('required') pane, or Add All to transfer all displayed records, irrespective of tick box status
6; (d) Click on Select - The chosen SOR code subset is summarised in the corresponding field.

8; (c) Using the Skill Level drop-down field, select the desired parameter value to qualify the required experience
9; (d) Choose the Effective from and Effective to date boundaries to restrict the skill's applicability; (e) Click on Save - The new expertise level is displayed in the Skill Set grid; (f) Repeat this entire step to add further levels of expertise to the resourcing skills definition.
Tip
1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then deselect individual items from the full list, as required; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is deselected.
Note
1 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each new resourcing skills definition is unique for the effective period.
2 The returned results can be refined further by entering a component of the Functional unit name into the dynamic search field provided.
3 In the same way, use the options Remove and Remove All in conjunction with the associated tick box fields to transfer functional unit entries out of the right ('required') pane.
4 The filtered list of SOR descriptions will match the SOR table selected.
5 The returned results can be refined further by entering a component of the SOR code or description into the dynamic search field provided.
6 In the same way, use the options Remove and Remove All in conjunction with the associated tick box fields to transfer SOR code entries out of the right ('required') pane.
7 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
8 These custom values can be populated by the end user via the system parameter entitled Repair SOR Skills.
9 These custom values can be populated by the end user via the system parameter entitled Skill Level.
