To create a new planned programme template

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to create a new planned programme template is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Planned & Servicing Lite > Configuration > Planned Program Template. The Planned Program Template Management window is displayed.
  2. Click on New Template 1. All fields are activated ready for data entry.
  3. Enter a Template name for the planned works instruction into the field provided 2.
  4. Using the SOR table drop-down field, select an appropriate Schedule of Rates table containing all work instructions relevant to a planned programme.
  5. Using the Update rule drop-down field, select the rule that will be applied to the underlying asset management configuration database on completion of the resulting works orders.
  6. Using the Component drop-down field, select a parameter value to capture the stock condition focus area to which the SOR template relates.
  7. Using the Repair drop-down field, select the specific repair element based on the chosen component.
  8. Using the Apply to drop-down field, multi-select all repair types that are relevant to the planned works instruction, or choose the All option, as required 3 1.
  9. Choose an Effective from date for this planned programme SOR template i.e. the date on which it came into effect 4.
  10. Choose an Effective to date if the SOR template content is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the template will be continually valid.
  11. Click on Save.

Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then deselect individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is deselected.

Note

1 Upon first access, all fields are automatically activated ready for data entry; hence the New Template button is inactive.

2 System validation rules ensure that the name entered for each new SOR template is unique for the effective period.

3 All reactive repair types are available for selection, ensuring that comprehensive asset management information is maintained.

4 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
