To create a new money management entry within a support provision case

The procedure to create a new money management entry within a support provision case is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select Support Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case ID as the search criteria 1.
  2. With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The Support Case Details window is displayed.
  3. Click on Money Management. The Money Management tab is activated.
  4. Click on New Money Management Detail 2. The Money Management Details window is displayed.
  5. Using the Type drop-down field, select a prescribed parameter value to categorise the nature of the cost or earnings i.e. Income, Expenditure, Secured Debt, or Unsecured Debt.
  6. Using the adjacent Sub type field, select a custom parameter value, providing more information around the categorised cost or earnings 3.
  7. Enter the Value of the income or expenditure into the field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  8. Select the Frequency for the income or expenditure i.e. the time period between each successive payment or deposit (Annual, Monthly, 4 Weekly, Fortnightly or Weekly).
  9. Use the Details field to add contextual background to the payment or deposit.
  10. Choose an Effective from date for this money management entry i.e. the date on which it came into effect 4.
  11. Choose an Effective to date if the money management entry is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the cost or earnings will be continually valid.
  12. Click on Confirm. The new entry is displayed in the Money Management Details summary table.
  13. Repeat steps 3 through 12 to add further money management entries to the support provision case.
  14. Click on Save.


Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, company, status, support type) to ensure that the correct support provision case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.

2 This option is inactive for support provision cases that are set to a status of Cancelled or Closed.

3 These custom values can be populated by the end user via the respective general lookup parameters entitled Support Money Management Income Sub Types, Support Money Management Expenditure Sub Types and Support Money Management Debt Sub Types.

4 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
