The procedure to create a new feedback stage is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Feedback > Configuration > Feedback Stage Type. The Feedback Stage Type Configuration window is displayed.
- Click on New Stage Type
1. All fields are activated ready for data entry.
- Enter a Description for the feedback stage into the field provided
2.
- Using the Feedback type drop-down field, select a parameter value to reflect the classification of feedback received i.e. Compliment, Formal Complaint or Informal Complaint.
- Using the Companies drop-down field, multi-select all companies for which this feedback stage is relevant, or choose the All option, as required
1.
- Using the Default next stage type drop-down field, select a parameter value to define the sequential progression of the new stage
3.
- Where it is permitted to bypass the sequential next stage, activate the Next stage override permitted tick box provided and multi-select all alternative stages using the corresponding Permitted next stage types drop-down field
1.
- To reveal the description of private feedback stages to all permitted system users, over and above the assigned owner, activate the Display description if private to owner tick box provided.
- Choose an Effective from date for this feedback stage i.e. the date on which it came into effect
4.
- Choose an Effective to date if the feedback stage configuration is to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the stage will never expire.
- Click on Save
5.
Tip
1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then de-select individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is de-selected.
Note
1 Upon first access, all fields are automatically activated ready for data entry; hence the New Stage Type button is inactive.
2 System validation rules ensure that the description entered for each new feedback stage is unique for the effective period.
3 Only stages of the same feedback type classification are available for selection.
4 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
5 To amend the details of an existing feedback stage, expand a feedback type and select an associated stage from the alphabetical list (or enter its name into the Search Stage Types field) and repeat steps 3 through 11. By default the list is filtered to show Current stage types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations. Only a limited number of fields can be updated once a record has been created.
