The procedure to complete the general details section of an energy assessment report is as follows:
- Prerequisite procedural steps are covered separately in the topic To create a new energy assessment report for an asset. Refer to these before proceeding to step 2
1.
- With the RdSAP Editor - Assessment Details section in current focus, click on General Details. The General Details section is launched, revealing all associated data capture fields within the editor pane.
- Using the Degree day region drop-down field, select the geographical location of the property, used to inform the measurement of the severity and duration of cold weather.
- Using the Type of property drop-down field, select the classification parameter matching the specific asset i.e. House, Bungalow, Flat, etc.
- Using the Detachment drop-down field, select the parameter value matching the structure of the property i.e. Detached, Enclosed Terrace, Semi Detached, etc.
- Use the Internal / external measurements field to confirm how the recorded building measurements should be translated i.e. Internal or External.
- Enter the Number of storeys over which the building extends. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Enter the Number of extensions added onto the original property structure, ranging between 0 and 4.
- Complete the remaining responses included within the General Details category, steered by the underlying data types and threshold limits. Certain fields are worthy of special note and are captured in the table below.
- Proceed to the next energy assessment category (e.g. Age and Roofs) by clicking on the corresponding action button
2.
Note
1 Only one energy assessment report can be effective for an individual property at any one time.
2 All responses recorded in the current focus area will be saved automatically and the appropriate validation applied to determine whether an energy calculation can be conducted based on the populated fields.
