To cancel a feedback task

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to cancel a feedback task is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select Feedback Task as the Result Set and Criteria Set category, and enter the Task ID as the search criteria 1.
  2. Double-click on the row containing the exact record match or use Refine Search to enter alternative criteria. The Feedback Task Details window is displayed.
  3. Click on Cancel Task 2. The Cancel Feedback Task window is displayed.
  4. Using the Cancellation reason drop-down field, select a parameter value to qualify the circumstances surrounding the cancellation of the feedback task e.g. No Longer Valid.
  5. Use the Notes field to add contextual data in support of the feedback task being cancelled.
  6. Click on Save. Where links to other subsequent tasks exist, the user is asked to affirm that all tasks within the hierarchy will be cancelled 3.
  7. With the Feedback Task Details window displayed, the current status of the feedback task is set to Cancelled and the End date is stamped with the current system date 4.

Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, type, stage, description, status) to ensure that the correct feedback task is returned; an alternative Criteria Set of Feedback Case may be selected to extend the available search fields.

2 This option is active only for non-mandatory feedback tasks that are currently in progress i.e. with a status of Open or Pending.

3 System validation rules ensure that the integrity of all task dependencies are upheld.

4 Any related tasks that have been cancelled as a consequence of the user's affirmations will reflect the same status progression.
