The procedure to assign uplift parameters to a service charge calculation model is as follows:
- Navigate to Quick Menu > Service Charges > Management > Calculations. The Service Charge Calculation window is displayed.
- Expand a calculation type subheading from within the nested calendar period and select an associated calculation scenario, or enter its name into the Search Calculations field. By default the list is filtered to show All calculation scenarios. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: In Progress, Under Consultation, Applied, Invoiced, Cancelled or Adjustment Applied to Rent Accounts
1.
- Click on Models
2. The Models tab is activated, revealing all service charge elements included within the calculation scenario, as displayed in the Model Details summary table.
- Using the Model drop-down field, select the model in which uplift parameters will be applied to the elemental components.
- Activate the Select tick box against each element to be uplifted by the same parameter values
3.
- Click on Update Selected Rows. The Calculation Increase Parameters window is displayed.
- Using the Increase % field, enter the percentage by which each service charge element in the selected subset will be uplifted. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Alternatively, using the Increase Value field, enter the amount by which each service charge element in the selected subset will be uplifted. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Enter the Maximum Increase Value into the field provided i.e. the threshold amount above which the service charge element cannot be increased. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
- Where the balancing charge is to be included in the calculation model for this service charge element, activate the Include Balancing Charge tick box provided
4.
- Click on Save. The uplift parameters assigned to each cost element included in the subset are abbreviated in the Model Details summary table.
- Repeat steps 5 through 11 to assign uplift parameters to further element subsets within the service charge calculation model.
Note
1 The Search Calculations field will match against any element of the calculation scenario description.
2 This option applies only to Estimate calculation types operating under a Model calculation method.
3 It is important to only group together service charge elements where the desired uplift parameters are identical.
4 This attribute can be selected only in the instance where a balancing charge source has been linked to the calculation scenario.
