Parent Previous Next

The procedure to assign conditions to an automated communication is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Communication Engine > Communication > Automated Communication. The Automated Communication Creation window is displayed.
  2. Expand a module and select an associated entity from the alphabetical list, or type its name into the Search entities field 1.
  3. Select the desired automated communication in the summary table 1.
  4. Click on Set Condition. The Statement Builder For Automated Communication window is displayed.
  5. Enter a Valuation tag into the field provided by expanding the entity heading and selecting the correct tag. Alternatively, typing in the name into the Search Tags field will find all possible matches 2.
  6. Using the Expression drop-down field, select an appropriate value ( = <> < <= > >= In) for the condition.
  7. Enter the matching Condition into the field provided. Text and values should be entered directly i.e. without quotation marks.
  8. Click on And/Or to add a further condition to the same statement function. Use the drop-down field to change the expression operator. By default, And is displayed.
  9. Repeat step 8 to add further conditions, as required, adjusting the Order number to control the sequence of execution. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  10. Click on End Condition and Save 3. The new condition is displayed 2.

Tip

1 To aid the selection process, rows can be reordered by clicking on any of the available headings: Routine name, Post event, Status code, Communication name or Company.

2 The automated communication becomes active as soon as the condition has been set and the Effective from date is reached. It is therefore wise to assign the post events prior to the condition, particular where the automated communication is set to run from the current date.

Note

1 The Search entities field will match against any element of the entity name.

2 The Entity values available for selection are filtered according to the module linked to the communication definition.

3 To remove an existing condition statement, select the corresponding row in the condition summary table and click on Remove And/Or Condition.
