To add component items to an equipment system type

Parent Previous Next

Once a new equipment system type - a Central Heating System, a Fire Alarm System, a Door Entry System, etc. - has been defined within the Configure System Types form, the applicable equipment component parts can be added en bloc. For those equipment items ascribed with the Allow multiple systems attribute, these can operate as a component of more than one installation system and therefore be added to different types at the end user's discretion.

The procedure to add component items to an equipment system type is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Equipment > Configuration > Configure System Types. The Configure System Types window is displayed.
  2. Select an equipment system type from the alphabetical list, or enter its name into the Search for System Types field. By default the list is filtered to show Current equipment system types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All 1.
  3. Click on Add Equipment Type. The Select Equipment Types window is displayed, revealing a list of all equipment types summarised at group level.
  4. To identify component items relevant to an equipment system type: (a) Click on the expansion level pointer icons () to reveal the equipment types underneath each group heading; (b) Activate the tick box against one or more items to be included within the equipment system; (c) Click on Add to transfer the chosen entries to the right ('required') pane 2; (d) Click on Select - The chosen equipment item subset is displayed in the Equipment Types summary table.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to add further component items to the same equipment system.

Note

1 The Search for System Types field will match against any element of the equipment system description.

2 In the same way, use the Remove option in conjunction with the associated tick box field to transfer the SOR code entry out of the right ('required') pane.
