To add a task to an ASB case

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to add a task to an ASB case is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select ASB Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case Reference as the search criteria 1.
  2. With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The ASB Case Details window is displayed.
  3. Click on Tasks. The Tasks tab is activated.
  4. Click on New Task 2. The New Task window is displayed.
  5. Using the Category drop-down field, multi-select all categories from which the ASB task will be selected, or choose the All option, as required 1.
  6. Using the Task drop-down field, select an appropriate task from the filtered list for inclusion in the ASB case 3.
  7. Using the Select perpetrators, Select complainants and Select associated contacts drop-down fields, multi-select all stakeholders related to the progression of the specific task 4.
  8. Click on Save. The new task is displayed in the Tasks summary table.
  9. Repeat steps 4 through 8 to add further tasks to the ASB case 5.

Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then de-select individual items from the full list, as required; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is de-selected.

Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start date range, category, company, status) to ensure that the correct ASB case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.

2 This option is active only for ASB cases where at least one category is set to Live status.

3 Only those tasks defined within the chosen subset of ASB categories are available for selection.

4 Only those fields matching the stakeholder types configured within the ASB task definition are displayed.

5 Only task definitions ascribed with the Allow multiple instances attribute can be employed repeatedly within the same ASB case.
