To preview a housing options advice statement under construction

The opportunity to preview an advice statement at any stage of the creation process enables the end user to verify that its intended appearance, use of formatting, text alignment, etc. are all correct and match the desired output. At the point of preview, the system compiles all components of the advice statement in its current state of progression, mirroring how it will be presented to the customer as part of a housing options' enquiry.


The procedure to preview a housing options advice statement under construction is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Housing Options > Configuration > Housing Options Advice. The Housing Options Advice window is displayed.
  2. Select a housing options advice statement from the alphabetical list or type its name into the Search Housing Options Advice field. By default the list is filtered to show Current advice statements. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on Preview. The Preview web browser window is displayed, revealing the current advice notice in the published format; any errors, omissions or text changes can be documented and applied within the text editor. Use the 'close' box to return to the Housing Options Advice window.
  4. Click on Close.
