To modify the details of individual task attachments within an estate management case

The procedure to modify the details of individual task attachments within an estate management case is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select Estate Management Task as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Task ID as the search criteria 1.
  2. With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The Estate Management Task Details window is displayed.
  3. Click on Attachments. The Attachments tab is activated, revealing a list of all files linked to the estate management task in the Attachments summary table.
  4. Double-click on the specific row matching the attachment record to be updated. The Update Attachment window is displayed, revealing the current name of the file attachment.
  5. Enter a New name for the file attachment into the field provided 1.
  6. Enter a revised Description for the attachment, providing contextual background as to the origin and purpose of the file.
  7. Click on Save. The applied changes to the attachment record are displayed in the Attachments summary table.


Tip

1 To aid in identification purposes, it is good practice to devise and uphold a consistent naming convention for all attached files.

Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, description, company, status) to ensure that the correct estate management task is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact, Contact Group or Estate Management Case may be selected to extend the available search fields.
