To map a SOR task to an equipment type

Parent Previous Next

For each type of equipment, a comprehensive breakdown of manufacturer-led maintenance tasks and safety checks can be captured using Schedule of Rates (SOR) codes, ensuring the accountable, auditable, and transparent undertaking of all servicing requirements.

The procedure to map a SOR task to an equipment type is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Equipment > Configuration > Configure Equipment. The Configure Equipment window is displayed.
  2. Expand the relevant group heading and select an equipment type from the hierarchical list, or enter its name into the Search for Equipment field. By default the list is filtered to show Current equipment types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All 1.
  3. Click on Costs. The Costs tab is activated.
  4. Click on Add SOR. The Add Schedule of Rate window is displayed.
  5. Enter a SOR code or component of the SOR description into the search field provided 2. All possible matches are returned in the SOR Search Result window 3.
  6. Double-click on the row matching the desired SOR code to be included within the equipment type cost breakdown.
  7. Alternatively, to identify a SOR code via the bulk selection window: (a) Click on the adjacent spyglass icon () - The SOR Select window is displayed, revealing all SOR section trades within each table heading; (b) Click on the nested expansion level pointer icons () to reveal the associated trades and concatenated SOR codes + descriptions; (c) Activate the tick box against a single SOR code to be included within the equipment type cost breakdown; (d) Click on Add to transfer the chosen entry to the right ('required') pane 4; (d) Click on Select - The chosen SOR code is displayed in the corresponding field 5.
  8. Enter the required Quantity into the field provided. The Up and Down arrows are available to increment or decrement the value, as required.
  9. Choose an Effective from date for this equipment type cost breakdown i.e. the date on which it came into effect 6.
  10. Choose an Effective to date if the equipment type cost breakdown is only valid for a set period; a blank field means the cost will remain linked to the equipment type in perpetuity.
  11. Click on Save. The new servicing or repair commitment for the equipment type is displayed in the Schedule of Rates table.

Note

1 The Search for Equipment field will match against any focus area included within the hierarchical equipment structure.

2 The field will operate as a dynamic search function and match against the SOR code or any element of the SOR description.

3 Only SOR codes contained within the linked SOR table are available for selection.

4 In the same way, use the Remove option in conjunction with the associated tick box field to transfer the SOR code entry out of the right ('required') pane.

5 System validation rules ensure that this button is only activated in the instance where a single SOR code has been nominated for inclusion within the equipment type cost breakdown.

6 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
