To link bank details to a PRS account

The procedure to link bank details to a PRS account is as follows:

  1. Using the global search facility, type in the first few characters of either the responsible contact for the agreement or the asset address 1.
  2. Double-click on the row containing the exact record match. Where the expected record is not listed, a more advanced search can be conducted using the spy-glass icon ().
  3. Click on Agreements (contact summary 360 view) or History (for an asset) 2. The Agreements tile (or History tab) is activated, revealing a list of all agreements associated with the contact (or asset) in the Agreements (or Rent) summary table.
  4. Double-click on the specific PRS agreement against which a bank account nominated for the receipt of rental revenue will be configured. The Agreement Details window is displayed.
  5. Click on Accounts. The Accounts tab is activated.
  6. Double-click on the specific account used for the tracking of rental revenue generated through the PRS agreement. The Account Details window is displayed.
  7. Click on Bank Account 3. The Bank Account tab is activated.
  8. Click on Link Bank Account. The Select Contact window is displayed.
  9. Activate the Select tick box against the private landlord to whom the bank account is registered.
  10. Click on Next. The Select Bank Account window is displayed, revealing in grid form those bank details already associated with the chosen contact.
  11. To nominate an existing bank account for the receipt of revenue generated through a PRS management contract, activate the Select tick box against the row matching the correct credentials. Alternatively, click on Add Bank Account to create a brand new bank account for the private landlord, not previously held; this procedural step mirrors that covered separately in the topic To add a bank account for a contact.
  12. Click on Confirm. The defined bank credentials are displayed within the Accounts summary table.
  13. Click on Save.


Note

1 The search facility will automatically return all possible matches for a contact's first name and last name once the Number of characters before an automatic search commences system preference is reached; it will likewise return all possible matches for any corresponding address field.

2 The availability and customisation of all Contact Summary 360 View tiles is controlled separately for each end user via their unique system profile.

3 This option is only available in circumstances where the overarching agreement is mapped to a classification category of PRS.
