To insert a note against a housing options case

The procedure to insert a note against a housing options case is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select Housing Options Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case ID as the search criteria 1.
  2. With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The Housing Options Case Details window is displayed.
  3. Click on Notes. The Notes tab is activated.
  4. Click on New Note. The Case Note window is displayed.
  5. Enter the Details of the new housing options case note into the field provided.
  6. Click on Confirm. The new note is displayed as a discrete event in the Notes summary table, including the date stamp and name of the end user by whom it was created 2.
  7. Repeat steps 4 through 6 to add further notes to the housing options case.
  8. Click on Save.


Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, company, status) to ensure that the correct housing options case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.

2 Automatically recording this information against each housing options case note maintains a full audit history of all supporting activities, capturing the correct timeline of events.
