To create a new PIMSS4Communities data import batch

The procedure to create a new PIMSS4Communities data import batch is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > System > File Import > File Import. The File Import Batch Details window is displayed.
  2. Click on New Import 1. All fields are activated ready for data entry.
  3. Using the Import type drop-down field, select the specific parameter value of PIMSS Asbestos Import or PIMSS Servicing Import, as appropriate; the associated Template is automatically populated in the corresponding field.
  4. Using the Company drop-down field, select the company for which this file import batch is relevant.
  5. Enter the Import date using the calendar icon (), or type in the value directly (format DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY) i.e. the first scheduled date for the import.
  6. Use the Notes field to add contextual information that is relevant to the file import batch.
  7. Click on Save 2. A sequential reference number is assigned to the new PIMSS4Communities data import batch 3.


Note

1 Upon first access, all fields are automatically activated ready for data entry; hence the New Import button is inactive.

2 The Created by and Created date fields are automatically populated with the name of the end user creating the data import batch and current system date respectively.

3 To amend the details of an existing data import batch, expand an import type from with the assigned status heading and select an associated reference from the numerical list, or type its reference into the Search File Import Batches field. By default the list is filtered to show Created data import batches. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Open, Imported, Part Posted, Posted, Cancelled or All. Only a limited number of fields can be updated once a record has been created.
