To cancel a stage within a home buy case

The procedure to cancel a stage within a home buy case is as follows:

  1. Using the Advanced search spy-glass (), select Home Buy Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case ID as the search criteria 1.
  2. With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The Home Buy Case Details window is displayed.
  3. Click on Details. The Details tab is activated.
  4. Click on Stage Actions. The Home Buy Stage Actions window is displayed.
  5. Using the Select action drop-down field, select the specific status progression value of Cancel Stage 2.
  6. Click on Next. The Cancel Home Buy Stage window is displayed.
  7. Using the Cancellation reason drop-down field, select a parameter value to qualify the circumstances surrounding the cancellation of the current home buy stage e.g. Duplicate Entry.
  8. Use the Notes field to add contextual data in support of the home buy stage being cancelled.
  9. Click on Save. The status of the home buy stage is set to Cancelled, as displayed in the Stages summary table 3; click on the expansion level pointer icon () to reveal the row detail.


Note

1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, stage, company, status) to ensure that the correct home buy case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.

2 It is only permitted to cancel the current stage in a home buy case where the status is set to Live and no inherent tasks have already been completed.

3 All tasks linked to the home buy stage are automatically marked as cancelled.
