The procedure to cancel a stage within a home buy case is as follows:
- Using the Advanced search spy-glass (
), select Home Buy Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case ID as the search criteria

- With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The Home Buy Case Details window is displayed.
- Click on Details. The Details tab is activated.
- Click on Stage Actions. The Home Buy Stage Actions window is displayed.
- Using the Select action drop-down field, select the specific status progression value of Cancel Stage

- Click on Next. The Cancel Home Buy Stage window is displayed.
- Using the Cancellation reason drop-down field, select a parameter value to qualify the circumstances surrounding the cancellation of the current home buy stage e.g. Duplicate Entry.
- Use the Notes field to add contextual data in support of the home buy stage being cancelled.
- Click on Save. The status of the home buy stage is set to Cancelled, as displayed in the Stages summary table
3; click on the expansion level pointer icon (
) to reveal the row detail.
Note
1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, stage, company, status) to ensure that the correct home buy case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.
2 It is only permitted to cancel the current stage in a home buy case where the status is set to Live and no inherent tasks have already been completed.
3 All tasks linked to the home buy stage are automatically marked as cancelled.
