To assign a default activity to a homelessness category

The procedure to assign a default activity to a homelessness category is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Homelessness > Configuration > Categories. The Homelessness Categories window is displayed, revealing all custom categories configured for the management of homelessness cases in the Categories summary table.
  2. Highlight the row matching the custom homelessness category for which a default activity will be defined i.e. to ensure that all core elements pertinent to the progression of a newly created case file are instantly available.
  3. Click on New Default Activity. The Default Activity window is displayed.
  4. Enter an activity description, keyword or associated information text into the dynamic search field provided, or click on Show All Activities to bypass the filtering option 1. All possible matches are returned in the Search Results summary table.
  5. Highlight the row matching the specific activity to be ascribed default status for the homelessness category.
  6. Where applicable, using the region-specific Prevention type drop-down field, select a parameter value to classify the prevention measure implemented through this activity.
  7. Choose an Effective from date for this assigned default activity i.e. the date at which the link becomes active 2.
  8. Choose an Effective to date to automatically deactivate the default status for the selected activity on a specific date in the future; a blank field means the activity will remain assigned to the homelessness category in perpetuity.
  9. Click on Save. A corresponding record entry is displayed in the Default Activities summary table, confirming the successful mapping status.
  10. Repeat steps 3 through 9 to nominate further default activities for the homelessness category in current focus.


Note

1 The field will operate as a dynamic search function and match against any element of the activity descriptors based on the successive characters entered.

2 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
