To add a task to a housing option workflow

The procedure to add a task to a housing option workflow is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Housing Options > Configuration > Housing Options Type. The Housing Options Type Configuration window is displayed.
  2. Select a housing option workflow from the alphabetical list or enter its name into the Search Housing Options Type field. By default the list is filtered to show Current types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on Tasks. The Tasks tab is activated.
  4. Click on New Task. The Task Search window is displayed.
  5. Enter a task description into the dynamic search field provided 2. All possible matches are returned in the summary table 3.
  6. Highlight the row matching the desired task to be added to the housing option workflow.
  7. Click on Next. The Type Task window is displayed.
  8. Choose an Effective from date for this record i.e. the date on which the linked task came into effect for this housing option workflow 4.
  9. Choose an Effective to date if the link needs to be reviewed on a specific date or to capture a change of circumstances; a blank field means the link will never expire.
  10. Click on Confirm. The linked task is displayed in the Available Tasks summary table.
  11. Repeats steps 4 through 10 to add further tasks to the housing option workflow.
  12. Click on Save 5.


Note

1 The Search Housing Options Type field will match against any element of the workflow description.

2 The field will operate as a dynamic search function and match against any element of the task description based on the successive characters entered.

3 Only tasks relevant to those companies linked to the housing option workflow will be displayed.

4 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.

5 To amend the details of a linked task, double-click on the desired row in the Available Tasks summary table and repeat steps 8 through 10; to remove the assigned task, change the Effective to date to be in the past.
