The procedure to add a new contact to a home buy case is as follows:
- Using the Advanced search spy-glass (
), select Home Buy Case as the Search for and Search by category, and enter the Case ID as the search criteria

- With the Results tab in current focus, double-click on the row containing the exact record match, or return to the Criteria tab and refine the search filters. The Home Buy Case Details window is displayed.
- Click on Contacts. The Contacts tab is activated.
- Click on New Case Contact
2. The Contact window is displayed.
- Using the Home buy contact type drop-down field, select an appropriate categorisation for the additional contact i.e. Associated, Family Member or Tenant.
- Select the additional Contact (or Contact Group) to which the home buy case relates using the spy-glass icon (
)
3. The Search Contact (or Search Group) window is displayed.
- Enter sufficient details into the contact (or contact group) fields provided and click on Search. The Select Contact (or Select Group) window is displayed, returning all possible matches.
- Double-click on the row containing the exact record match or use Refine Search to enter alternative criteria. The Name of the contact (or contact group) is displayed in the corresponding field.
- Where the selected name represents an association, choose the corresponding Association type from the drop-down field. Alternatively, where the selected name represents a family member, use the Relationship with tenant drop-down field to choose the corresponding relationship parameter that is appropriate for the additional contact e.g. Son, Daughter, Father, Mother, etc.

- Multi-select the required attributes for the additional contact by activating the tick boxes provided. An explanation of each available attribute is summarised in the table below.
- Click on Confirm. The additional contact (or contact group) is displayed in the Applicants summary table, with the entry reflecting the selected attributes.
- Click on Save.
Note
1 Additional search criteria may need to be employed (e.g. start and end date ranges, stage, company, status) to ensure that the correct home buy case is returned; an alternative Search by category of Contact or Contact Group may be selected to extend the available search fields.
2 This option is inactive for home buy cases that are set to a status of Cancelled or Closed.
3 The contact group search engine will be invoked for the Associated contact type only i.e. where the stakeholder represents an association.
4 The appearance of the Association type or Relationship with tenant fields is governed by the contact type selected, specifically Associated or Family Member.

Have they lived in this property for the last 12 months?
|
The additional contact has lived at the property linked to the home buy case for a minimum of 12 months.
