To add an advice statement to a housing option workflow

Parent Previous Next

The procedure to add an advice statement to a housing option workflow is as follows:

  1. Navigate to Quick Menu > Housing Options > Configuration > Housing Options Type. The Housing Options Type Configuration window is displayed.
  2. Select a housing option workflow from the alphabetical list or enter its name into the Search Housing Options Type field. By default the list is filtered to show Current types. An alternative filter can be applied using the Select view drop-down field: Expired, Future or All combinations 1.
  3. Click on New Advice. The Advice Search window is displayed.
  4. Enter an advice statement description into the dynamic search field provided 2. All possible matches are returned in the summary table.
  5. Highlight the row matching the desired advice statement to be added to the housing option workflow.
  6. Click on Next. The Type Advice window is displayed, confirming the selected advice statement in the Description field.
  7. Click on Statement Builder. The Statement Builder window is displayed.
  8. Define one or more conditions to control the specific question form responses necessary to display the advice statement within the housing option workflow. This requisite step is covered separately in the topic Understanding the advanced statement builder.
  9. Using the Eligible application type drop-down field, multi-select all application categories for which this advice statement is relevant within the overall housing option workflow, or choose the All option, as required 1.
  10. Using the Ineligible application type drop-down field, multi-select all application categories that are not relevant to this advice statement within the overall housing option workflow 3.
  11. Choose an Effective from date for this assigned advice statement i.e. the date at which it becomes active 4.
  12. Choose an Effective to date to automatically deactivate the advice statement on a specific date in the future; a blank field means the assigned advice statement will remain with the housing option workflow in perpetuity.
  13. Click on Save. The name of the selected advice statement is displayed in the Advice summary table.

Tip

1 Where only a small number of parameter values are not required, activate the All tick box first and then de-select individual items from the full list, as appropriate; the All tick box will be automatically removed once an item is de-selected.

Note

1 The Search Housing Options Type field will match against any element of the workflow description.

2 The field will operate as a dynamic search function and match against any element of the advice statement description based on the successive characters entered.

3 Once an application type has been assigned as 'eligible' it will not be available for selection in the 'ineligible' list, and vice versa.

4 The Effective from date defaults to the current system date and cannot be left blank.
